How to Create and Manage Job Alerts on Glassdoor

« Go Back
Information

Glassdoor lets job seekers create personalized job alerts on desktop and mobile, keeping them updated on the latest opportunities. Here’s how to set up and manage your alerts.

Creating Job Alerts (Desktop & Mobile)

Job seekers can create a maximum of 10 job alerts per day.

Note: You may receive multiple alerts for the same job if posted in different locations. Alerts will continue until the job expires or is removed. Currently, you cannot block specific companies or duplicate postings. If the option to toggle alerts is greyed out, check that you're subscribed globally. Scroll to the Global Settings section and ensure that All Emails is toggled on.

Creating Job Alerts via Your Glassdoor Profile (Desktop):

  1. Sign in to Glassdoor.
  2. Click the Profile icon in the upper right-hand corner.
  3. Click Notifications in the drop-down menu.
  4. You will see Job Alerts under the Jobs section.
  5. Use the toggle to turn on/off Job Alerts.
  6. Click on +Create Job Alert.
  7. Enter the following information:
    1. Job Title or Keyword
      1. Note: Keywords may appear in job descriptions for different titles than those in your alert. To narrow alerts, subscribe to personalized job recommendations.
    2. Location (City, State, or Zip)
      1. Note: Ensure you are receiving relevant alerts by selecting your preferred locations and keywords. Remote/Work From Home is not an applicable location. Switching the domain you are on will not change the jobs are seeing (ie. Switching from French to Italian)
  8. Choose Frequency (Daily or Weekly).
    1. Note: Choosing "Weekly" means the first email will arrive one week after setting the alert. If your job alert frequency has decreased, it may be because you haven't opened recent alert emails. To reset it, delete and re-add your job alerts.
  9. Click Save

Note: You may receive multiple alerts for the same job if employers post it for different locations. Alerts will continue until the job expires or is removed. Currently, there is no way to block specific companies or duplicate postings from your job alerts.
